Intergenerational Project: Stories that Connect Us
In this project, you would take part in a series of conversations with the University of Tennessee graphic design students. The students will then create graphic designs/art that visually communicate the stories you have shared. At the end of the project, the designs that are based on the stories you have shared will be displayed at The John T. O'Connor Senior Center.
Participation is completely voluntary. Conversations will take place in September and
October via phone or video call, depending on your preference.
Assistant Professor Kimberly Mitchell will contact you for an initial conversation about the project.
Her number is 928-380-9810. If you’re still interested after the talk, you’ll be paired with a design student for 6–8 weeks of ongoing conversations. During that time, you’ll get to know one another and share stories and experiences. The student will then create a visual design inspired by your conversations, which will be shared at a final exhibition celebrating intergenerational connection.
